Wake up wake up! First day of school! First day of school!
Gabe had his first day of school last Monday. My very great friend Sally told me that it would be a sad day...for about 5 minutes. And that it was. I cried for about 5 minutes. Just realizing that my little boy was getting big. He didn't need me anymore fussing over him every minute of the day. He is a big boy with ideas, an imagination, a big spirit, a good conscience, and a good idea of the direction he is to take. So I let him go to kindergarten. I kept telling him that I wasn't going to let him go away from me, but he told me, "Don't worry mom. I'm going to to come back." And that he did. Ella and I had a great first day. No fighting. No arguing. No time outs. No whining. It is exactly what my children needed. A break from eachother. They are so much happier now that they have some time away. LoLo got him a new pair of tennis shoes, some new socks, and a new shirt and shorts. Mom got him a new haircut and some new underwear (boring old mom). Here are some pics for ya!
So I have been working like crazy. I have been working open house after open house, showing after showing, and meeting after meeting. It has been a crazy lifestyle for a couple weeks here. Ella will be starting preschool the day after Labor Day and will go Tuesdays and Thursdays all day. Those will be my days to work along with evenings as needed. She is ready for school too. She is also ready for her 4th birthday party next week. She is going to have a Princess Party. And Hobby Lobby just got a new line of Princess Party goods in just in time for the big day. We are going to have a tea for a few little girls, a pinata (truly the only thing that matters), a make-up/fingernail polish time, and some games and a castle cake. I have to finish the invitations tomorrow and I will post some pics of them. They may look familiar to some of you!
So that's it for now. I was at the Bell's all weekend spending some time with them. My house is officially deemed a disaster area though. Need more days in the week! Ahhh!
Oh yeah, and here is a shout out to my MIL. She is the best MIL a DIL could ask for and mentioned that she had never been mentioned on my blog before since she reads it daily (not that there is a post daily) with all her chicks at the office. So here it is Momma Dar. You are great. Thanks for all your great words of wisdom throughout these last seven years your son and I have had as married people. Thanks for raising him to be the man he is today. You did a great job. Wish we could see eachother more, but a couple times a year will have to do. Love you lots. P.S. Call every once in awhile will you!? And here is truly the only pic I could find of Momma Dar in the past year. That is seriously terrible.
