How many of you can relate to this? Need something from the store. Do NOT like Wal-Mart--okay, understatement of the century--would pay an extra dollar per item to NOT go to Wal-Mart, so you decide to hit up Target instead. The wonderful wonderful Target with their Isaac Mizrahi dress/casual clothes screaming your name, and their oh-so-appealing shoe department with cute things for the entire family, and let's not forget the home decor aisles of pure delight. You only need to get one or two things and it will just be in and out. Easy. And the bathroom is by the door so the little girl with the little bladder will be able to stop quickly and run in while you check ou the "Dollar Spot". So you walk in and, of course, the popcorn is fresh and you MUST buy the "dollar combo" (as Amos calls it) for a small popcorn and small pop. A small price to pay for sanity and being able to make it around without the kids saying how hungry they are. side note: Don't you know that the workers there can't stand the "dollar combo"? There are trails of kernals from every cart that is toteing around a bag of the yummy distraction. Anyway, so as you are weaving your way through the aisles of pure delight, dropping popcorn along the way, and trying to refrain from salivating at all of the great finds around every corner along comes a "Price Cut" item that caught your eye the last time you were in (which just happens to be the night before). Something you certainly don't need to live, but there is only one left in the style you like. You pick it up and think, "Hmmmmm.....I'll just treat myself to this one item. It's under ten bucks. No biggie." In the cart it goes, cushioned by the numerous coats and the bed of popcorn that has now piled up in the cart. On to the next thing....or two....or three...
You check your phone to see what time it is. No need for a watch anymore. Besides, there haasn't been a good "Price Cut" on them in awhile so we really haven't felt justified in even thinking about buying one. But when you check it is now about 45 minutes later. What!? Where did the last 45 minutes go? How could a 15 minute trip turn into 45? How does this happen every single time I walk through the doors here? What? I didn't see this aisle yet.....they totally have all new hairties in for spring...this would go great with the little skirt I got for Ella the other day. WAIT!!! AHHHHH! I'm supposed to be somewhere in like 10 minutes. I gotta run to the checkout to buy the two things I came in for.
Get to the front. Finally. And you see them. Screaming your name from across the line at the front. So strategically place to call at every mother on the planet. The lint roller right next to the Shout wipes calling you to pick them up. "Oh well, I need them anyway and here they are. Right here. I'll probably forget later if I don't just pick them up. And I need to be somewhere--like now. I'll just grab them." The lady (or man) asks if you have "any Target rewards or giftcards" to use. Nope. Are they handing them out for free? Please? The kids have already put everything on the conveyor belt for your convenience. She (or he) is ringing everything up and then the TOTAL. Holy junk!!!! Over $50! HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ME?! EVERYTIME?! I seriously cannot get out of this store for under $50!! I look at everything I am buying and it all makes so much sense. "Price Cuts"...or two...or three, lint roller, Shout wipes, the things I actually came in for... So I get it all and suck it up. And I promise that I will not be back......at least not until tomorrow.

MY GIRLS CAME FOR A VISIT!
THE GIRLS CAME TO VISIT ME LAST WEEKEND!!! Amos came up from T-town and Nobody came on over from Denver for us all to reunite. A much needed time for girls after that long winter. Of course we spent the majority of our time scrapbooking. duh. But we also were able to do some other fun things when we needed a break. We took these few pictures together. Somehow us momarazzis (moms who carry cameras everywhere) don't take very many pictures together. I know Amos posted a few on her blog. She's more of the sweet one between us all. The pictures I chose are a little different. I don't think I could take a serious picture to save me life. Not one that I like anyway.
Like I said, Amy is the sweet one. I didn't have one goofy picture of her. I had a hard time finding a serious one of me. ha!
Here we are. A nice picture together.
In other news we learned how to use Skype and our webcam. Okay that sounds a little kinky. We learned how to use it so we could talk to our family in California!!!!! I was able to see me little niece Delaney and my nephew Hayden online a couple nights ago. It was so much fun because I have not seen them since last summer! I think the last time I even saw pictures of them was at Christmas . They are so cute and big! So if any of you have Skype out there I know how to work mine now!!!! Yippee!
Ella told me the funniest thing last night. I don't even know if it is one of those "had to be theres" but here it is....Ella got her ears pieced when she turned three and she got little round "diamond" earrings. They are cubic zirconia, but we call them diamonds. So we are at the dinner table and talking about the circus (because it is in town this weekend) and out of the blue Ella looks at me and says, "My earrings are not diamonds mom. They are circles." Duh. How could have I made such a grave mistake?
Have a good weekend.

A crazy little life.
We took the kids over to a Sioux Falls Storm game tonight. It is an area league we have here in town and Micah had gotten tickets at the school for really cheap. It was pretty fun and they do a good job of making it fun for the whole family to watch. Too bad it is a beer fest all around. The kids were there for the snacks. They wore red bandanas around their heads. They both asked to wear them and it was so cute to see them walking in with those around their little noggins. Everyone thought it was pretty cute.
And the biggest news of the week? My friends are coming!!!! Amos and Nobody are coming to visit on Friday!! Hurray! Too bad B-rends couldn't come as well, but we understand. That is a LONG flight from Austria. We are goign to scrapbook annd have a great weekend without the worries of life. I'm really excited for Amos to see where I grew up, where I hang out and live my daily life. Nobody came last summer so she was able to see all of that, but now we can all enjoy it together. They are coming in on Friday and taking off on Monday. I think we will have some serious time to scrapbook then. Just getting the house ready for guests now. you know, figuring out what touchups need to be done on the paint, getting new towels, and all that.
So in outher news I had two real estate deals that I put together this week. I may have another on Monday. We went out today and we are gonig back to look again on Monday. Hooray. Things are really taking off and getting busy. It's great to have the opportunity at such a great career. It has been very difficult to adjust to the lifestyle with running all over and taking phone calls all day long. I'm getting used to it though.
Micah started his college classes this week. One online and the other on Wednesday evening. Sounds like the one on Wednesday will be less work than the one that is online. I'm very proud of him taking the step to get these done. With a degree at least he will be able to considered for additional jobs he may not have otherwise been. After this quarter he will have his Associate's degree. I think I may have mentioned that in a previous post. Hooray for him! And then 11 classes to go.
So that's the story. I am also in love with Reese's Peanut Butter cups right now. Yummy.
