I don't know if anyone watches Dr. Phil or not, but yesterday was quite the show. For those of you who didn't watch it was about a lady who hated her children. Like really hated them. I guess she truly must hate them if she was willing to risk going on national television and state this only for her children to see in future years along with her neighbors and the state department. For the record I hope her children get taken away from her. She doesn't deserve to raise little people. Ever. So watching it just made me so grateful for the children that God has given me. I know I'm certainly not the best mom in the world, yes there are times when I would like to hand my children over to my parents for a week (who wouldn't), and times when I wonder where I would be if I didn't have kids at the time I did (just a daydream). But who freakin cares. Those are my thoughts and wonders and have absolutely nothing to do with my children. That is all me. My selfishness, my daydreaming, my deal. My kids come first and I have been given a responsibility by God to raise them the best way I know how. Raising them up to be servants of Jesus Christ. So here is a little tribute to my beloved children who I couldn't imagine my life without.
And then there's ELLA. These are Ella's best friends at school--Ella R. Elizabeth, and Sophie. They are so little compared to Ella. She is the little mother hen to them all.
Ella is a fun-loving four-year-old that is almost as tall as her brother. She wants everything to do with princesses, dollies, puppies, kitchens, and painting fingernails. She is my little helper and is always up for doing whatever anyone needs help with. She even loves to clean her room if someone sits in there with her. Crazy. Ella is very disorganized, like her mother, but she always knows where a few things are--Jordy, her blankie, and her Disney princess book. I can leave Ella to play by herself for an hour or more without her interruptingn what I am do. She will just sit and talk to her animals and dollies. She loves to play school, dressup, Sunday School, and store with her cash register. She loves to eat whatever I will give her and ALWAYS says please and thank you without being told. Ella loves to be dropped off anywhere I will take her--church, school, a friends house. And she also loves it when I come to get her from those same places. She is very loving and does not like to see anyone cry or in pain.
I love the children that God has given me. I try to be a great mom even though I fail a lot of the time. I like to have fun with my kids--I just wish I wasn't tired so much. And I wouldn't trade my role for anything--okay so maybe a week on a Mexican beach--but that's all. Just a week.

Wow....VERY nice post! I really don't know a mother who doesn't have thoughts of what if....but I don't know a mother who hates her kids! What a selfish brat that lady is! Yea, life isnt always what we think it will turn out to be...but we have to make the best of it...besides there is ALWAYS someone who has it worse then we do!
Bad thoughts will come...but like Brother Hagin always said, "You can't stop a bird from flying over your head...but we certianly can stop the bird from making a nest in your hair.!" We become what we let our mind dwell on...what we think about. The Bible says to take EVERY thought captive that is contrary to the Word of God!
I am glad you did this post! What a great tribute to your cute, wonderful kids! Give um a kiss from me!
That's a wonderful tribute nobody. Like Lilah said, there's somebody out there who has it worse than we do.
That's really sad to hear that a mother hates their children. Inspite of, she probably does love them but need psychological help. I hope & pray fot those children to be put in the best loving care family.
Thanks for posting this, luv ya!
